This family history database comprises just over 12,500 individuals. Its particular strength is families living in Wivenhoe, Essex, England between 1750 and 1920.

How do I search?
Type the name you want in the 'Search' box at the top right of the screen. You can search for just a surname or forename and surname.

Do I need to register?
No. You only need to register if you want to see information about living people in your line.

What about sources?
Where I have them, sources are always given. If there is no source it means I haven't yet confirmed the data. Many 'facts' contained in parish records are open to different interpretations. Some online transcriptions are less than totally reliable, so please treat them with caution. If you come across a mistake, or want to offer an alternative interpretation, please contact me.

How often do you update it?
This is a copy of my main database and it usually less current than my research. Please use the date of the database as a guide.

What about living people?
Individuals in the database are hidden unless they are known to be dead or were born less than 100 years ago. If you would like access to these private records for members of your direct family, please register and let me know which line you are connected to.
